HAPPY NEW YEAR 2079!

The Society of Surgeons Nepal is organizing a new year program with CME and gala dinner with live music.

SSN Celebrated the Nepali New Year 2079 with CME and Welcome to new members at the Soaltee Hotel Limited (SHL), Tahachal on 9th Baishek 2079 (22nd April 2022).

SSN President, Prof Sunil Kumar Sharma Dhakal welcomed the participants. Dr Pratik Man Singh Gurung Presented on “Introducing Robotic Surgery in Nepal’. Dr Young Rok Choi from SNUH Seoul Korea presented on Robotic Hepatectomy.

Prof Bhola Raj Joshi, Prof. Manohar Lal Shrestha, Prof. Chitra lal Bhattchan were felicitated by Prof Mahesh Khakurel for their contribution to the society.  New members were welcomed and presented with the membership certificates. Dr Tanka Bohora, Editor in Chief of JSSN addressed the gathering and updated the status of JSSN. JSSN received two stars of the JPPS framework.

The JPPS framework assesses journals against a detailed and transparent set of criteria. The framework is intended to give researchers a greater feeling of trust that they are submitting their work to quality publications and will, hopefully, encourage them to submit their work to regional journals. This will ensure that Southern research is easily available to those that need it most.
