The Society of Surgeons of Nepal (SSN), Congratulates its young and energetic member Dr Toshima Karki for her successful win in the Federal Parliament Elections 2079 from Lalitpur Constituency 3.

Dr Toshima, resident of the Adinath Village, Nakhkhu Khola Marg, Ward no. 18, Lalitpur 3, was working as a general surgeon at Patan Hospital Lalitpur. After completing her MBBS from Kist Medical College, Lalitpur, she completed Masters General Surgery from Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel.

Since her undergraduate days, she has been involved with the Society of Surgeons of Nepal and volunteered in the international conference as well. She was instrumental in updating the membership list of the society and participating in other academic activities.

She has been actively involved as a Youth leader in numerous health related issues. She is an avid medical campaigner, and was recently elected as the central member of the Nepal Medical Council. We hope that her presence in the legislative will help to strengthen the medical fraternity and reform the health sector for the benefit of the Nepalese public.
