The Society of Surgeons of Nepal had a very humble beginnings 30 years ago, nearly comprising of a handful eminent surgeons and what we witness here today after 30 years of its establishment despite the challenges has been the collective vision of many knowledgeable, competent, and learned surgeons from the fraternity. An association which began in the 90’s progressing as the SSN, now has regional branches in almost all of the state in Nepal. This National conference was organized in cooperation with SSN Lumbini branch. After the establishment of Lumbini Branch SSN, two regional conferences have been successfully conducted and this is the first successive National Conference of SSN being held at Lumbini region. This event holds an utmost value to all of us because it’s the first National conference of the SSN to be held after the recent public health catastrophe caused by COVID 19.
We are grateful to the eminent surgeons who came together on a single platform to share their pool of knowledge and experiences and we hope that this conference will leave a positive impact on each one of us present here. on behalf of the organizing team, we once again thank all the participants, sponsors, speakers and scientific advisory board members for their active participation and immense help in making this event possible. We would like to place our hearty thanks to all volunteers and media partners for their cooperation for that event.
