JSSN is a multi-disciplinary, open-access, peer-reviewed, biannually published scientific journal.<\/h2>\n

Aims and Scope:<\/h2>\n

The aim of the journal is to promote surgical services in the country by providing a platform for the surgical fraternity to share knowledge and experience; promote research activities and good surgical practice and dissemination of surgical advancements taking place in the country amongst all surgical specialities.<\/p>\n

JSSN seeks articles related to all surgical specialities and allied subjects related directly to surgery. It includes all aspect of general surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, neurosurgery, urosurgery, trauma, minimal access surgery, oncosurgery, burns and plastic surgery, transplantation, endocrine surgery, cardio vascular and thoracic surgery, head and neck surgery, gynecology, anesthesia and critical care related to surgical practices and innovations in surgery.<\/p>\n

Article processing charges<\/h2>\n

There is no article processing charges. All submissions and access to published articles are free of charge.<\/p>\n

Indexing and Archiving<\/h2>\n

JSSN is archived with NEPJOL.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>At present we are working to include the journal with various indexing services.<\/p>\n

Peer review process<\/h2>\n

JSSN is a peer reviewed journal. \u00a0Our aim is to provide all authors with a supportive, efficient, productive and quick editorial process.<\/p>\n

Submitted manuscript will be first accessed for scope of journal, completeness, language, ethical and legal issues. If found appropriate for consideration it will be sent for external peer review.\u00a0The submitted articles are sent for online peer review through the OJS.<\/p>\n

Two independent external expert reviewers will review the manuscript individually for scientific and technical basis of the work.<\/p>\n

Based upon the reviews received from the peer reviewers the paper may be accepted without changes, accepted with minor or major revisions or rejected with or without possibility of resubmission. However, independent from the comment received from peer reviewer final decision regarding the acceptance and rejection will be made by editorial board.<\/p>\n

Each original article is sent for peer review to two reviewers. It usually takes 4 weeks to a maximum of 3 months for the peer review process to complete.<\/p>\n

Copyright and Open Access Policy<\/h2>\n

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.<\/p>\n

JSSN applies the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license to all works we publish. Under the CC BY license, authors retain ownership of the copyright for their article, but authors allow anyone to download, reuse, reprint, distribute, and\/or copy articles in JSSN, so long as the original authors and source are cited. No permission is required from the authors or the publishers.<\/p>\n
